i didn't get to go to the beach today like I wanted, but its all good cuz it started raining. I'm in the process of clearing out my room instead. Boy have I saved a lot of shit.
My hair has gotten to the point where I can't stand it anymore. Too frizzy and "shaggy" as my sister said. The first thing she told me when she saw me yesterday? "you need a haircut." Damn, either I really really need one desperately or her cosmotology classes have really gone to her head. haha.
So tomorrow I have an appt at a Paul Brown Salon. Thank God I could get it before my interview. I hope it comes out good. *nervous* If my hair turns out shitty, I think i'm just gonna cry. *crossing fingers*

Okay, here's my take on things...
Bush is basically taking one giant step backward from what Clinton had acheived in regards to North/South Korean relations. I'm totally for the "sunshine" strategy Kim Jae Dung has taken. I'll admit that the two sides still have a long ways to go but I think its very important to get the two sides talking with peaceful relations. They are still technically at war since no treaty was ever signed after the Korean War declaring it over. Besides, how would you feel if your family were split in two just because you happened to be on one side of the 38 parallel, never to have contact with them again? I'd be pretty damn sad and upset and I would want to right it asap. And here we are, 50 years later and still nothing...or well, there's something but Bush apparently doesn't care about these insignificant facts.
I highly doubt reunification will come anytime soon because of the differing types of govt, but that doesn't mean they can't have peaceful relations.
My theory? Bush's administration just wants to get this "missile defense sheild" built to satisfy some big people who probably contributed to his campaign. Worrying about nuclear weapons? Sure its a valid concern, but backtracking to a stance from the Cold War days just doesn't make me very happy.
BUSH just doesn't make me very happy.
I don't think I'm ever going to fully trust him.
And I don't think I'm ever going to like him.
grrr

lan's comment on people at the gym reminded me of something I need to rant about too. Why do some people feel the need to strip buck nekkid in the locker room/bathroom right where everyone can see? Do they have no shame? eesh.
Yesterday when the good roomie and I walked into the bathroom we turned the corner and BAM! There was this white chick with NOTHING ON [!!!] sorting through her clothes. I dunno about you, but I find this quite intrusive on my personal space. Even people who undress to their underwear invade my space but at least I'm not seeing their goods ya know? This chick wasn't even that well endowed, so why put us through the misery? I know, I'm a bastard for saying so but that's just what I thought at the time. In fact, the quick glance that was forced upon me made me wince in pain, and I never looked back. eesh.
That's why man invented doors and bathroom stalls. >.<
People need to have a sense of shame!!

I'm sitting here eating carrot curry. Yes, you heard me right, CARROT curry. Fuck. This isn't by choice either. The fucking evil roomie apparently decided she'd just not take any and leave the dish full of just carrots and curry. No potatoes, no chicken, and only a few pieces of onion. Tell me again why I shouldn't smother her in her sleep?
heh heh >;P
heh heh >;P
I worked out again tonight. Yay! I'm getting good at this [with a whole lotta prodding by the good roomie and a whole shitload of whining on my part. hehe] But now I feel sick. I couldn't do much tonight. All I have in my system is a resevoir full of water, a hard boiled egg, a vegie stuffed bun, and ummm....hmm. I think that's it.
my tummy hurts. =/
my tummy hurts. =/
I have the BEST bf!!
He went to the college of ed office and talked to them and finally got them to change my interview to a day that I am actually there! yay! Of course now I've had my hopes up about staying longer [even though its $100 more] so i dunno. we'll see. heehee
Isn't he the greatest? *beam*

UH beat Cal in men's volleyball last night.
But its kind of odd...
California is a Pac-10 school that participates on the club level..."The Bears do not offer any scholarships in men's volleyball, and have no priority standing for use of the weight room or practice gym. With four pre-med majors and three engineering students, they scramble to find a workable practice schedule."
You would think that it would be a big sport. Well, at least thats what I think. *shrug* They just don't realize how cool vball is. =P Yeah, its totally a UH perspective to take
